WE NEED YOUR HELP: APRIL 14-15, 2007

Atlanta Dogwood Festival in Atlanta, GA


(Atlanta, GA)— We hope you will join us with important community and sun safety outreach at the Atlanta Dogwood Festival in Atlanta, GA. The WDS's "Families Play Safe in the Sun" Campaign, generously sponsored by 3M Pharmaceuticals, is coming to Atlanta, for two days of sun safety education and outreach, April 14-15 , 2007. The campaign is being hosted by Dr. Rutledge Forney. Local volunteers will be conducting free skin cancer screenings, DermaScan Assessments and handing out educational materials to the 400,000 Fair visitors. The booth also includes a special kids area with a sun safety coloring contest, sun safety quizzes and fun giveaways.

This is a wonderful and fun opportunity to provide an invaluable service to the community and reach out to kids and families from all over Georgia.

We encourage you to bring your families and friends and enjoy the the festival and a day at the Festival before or after your shift (festival continues till 9pm on Saturday and 8pm on Sunday.) Festival attractions include live music on 2 performance stages, an extensive artist market, Kid's Village and community corner. For full details on all attractions:
